This was the first time I recall being ‘lost’ while observing and drawing the landscape.
I made these 4 line drawings looking out from my bedroom window on the farm. I remember the experience of watching the clouds rising and stretching as they skimmed the horizon. The 2 compressed charcoal pieces became increasingly dark as they developed their form – the start of a recurring theme.
